Ready for the chocolatiest glutenfree chocolate cake?

You know those super impressive people who post fancy dinner recipes and share photos of delicious food?

I’m not usually one of them, but today’s different!

So many of you asked me about the chocolate cake I shared on my instagram stories a few days ago. While it was one of those ‘it doesn’t have to look good to be super tasty’ creations, it is a really delicious cake because… chocolate!

What I wouldn’t give to have some of my favourite gluten-free chocolate cake right now! And it's vegan too.

Mmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

It’s my favourite dessert to bake for when I need some self care, and not to brag, but it’s definitely a crowd favourite at parties.

It is a very easy and delicious cake and even I usually nail it (and I’m useless at baking). Serve it with some whipped cream and/or fresh fruit.

200 g glutenfree flour (I use Doves Farm)

70 g cocoa powder

1 tbsp baking powder

180 g coconut sugar or muscovado sugar

130 g sunflower oil

500 boiling water

1 Preheat oven to 180°C

2 Sieve flour and cocoa powder into your bowl. Add the baking powder (if not using Doves Farm’s self raising flour) and sugar and mix well.

3 Add the oil and the boiling water

4 Mix all ingredients into a consistent batter.

5 Pour the batter into a lined spring form cake tin.

6 Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.

7 Remove and leave to cool.

8 Decorate with frosting of your choice or powdered/icing sugar or whipped cream, berries… whatever you feel like having.

Who’s going to try and make my signature creation? DM me on instagram if you’ve liked my tried-and-true recipe.
