Loved Knives Out? 5 Books You Shouldn’t Miss

Would you consider yourself a book nerd?

I love reading non-fiction books but you just can’t beat a good crime story or funny fiction book after a long work day.

When I read, I always have a cup of tea and get lost in the storyline!

To me, reading is such an amazing way to avoid scrolling on social media.

When I was 17 or 18, I was a huge fan of Agatha Christie and was reading ALL the books… for a year or so.

And even after all this time, I’m a big fan of Christie-ish books and films out there.

You can imagine how delighted I was to watch the two Knives Out movies - Knives Out and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery - around Christmas.

And yes, I totally started looking for all the Christie-ish books out there!

Here are 5 Books that you shouldn’t miss if you loved the Knives Out movies.

#1 The Thursday Murder Club: A Novel by Richard Osman

It’s fun, buzzy, and a great read.

Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club trilogy is one of the greatest mystery series in recent years. Four retirees solve murders from their retirement home. All three books are great reads, and will leave you guessing until the very end.

#2 Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz

The novel Magpie Murders is a fascination story-within-a-story. I loved Horowitz’ attitude towards storytelling, saying that there’s enough violence in this world at the moment and not being interested in writing violent and horrible stories. This book is such an enjoyable read and a big recommendation.

#3 The Guest List by Lucy Foley

Lucy Foley’s books are always a great read. In this novel, just as in Glass Onion, the characters find themselves on an isolated island when someone turns up dead. As a reader, you don’t really find out who until late in the story.

#4 One By One by Ruth Ware

Snowed in at a luxurious ski chalet in the French Alps? Sounds cosy? What could possible go wrong? But what if it’s eight coworkers? And a murder happens?

The employees are left to solve what is happening, before it’s too late.

#5 Devil In a Blue Dress by Walter Mosley

Don’t miss this mystery series! Set in post World War II America, in Los Angeles, the main character solves mysteries in their neighbourhood. Like Knives Out, the characters are great and their social interactions make up a big part of the story.
